We spent a lot of time looking around for seabass and such but no white seabass, so we spent some time drifting for halibut. Cody checked in for the Californian out of Ventura. We spent the day surface fishing all day. We saw a lot of bass, boiling around but it was tough to get a bite through the barracuda. Still a fun day nonetheless. Our 29 passengers caught 72 barracuda, 14 whitefish, 9 calico bass, 1 rockfish, and 1 halibut. Cody has the lastest fish report for you below.

Cody checked in for the Californian out of Ventura. We spent all day surface fishing. We had a good start to the morning, but then conditions slacked off so it was tough to get a bite. We made a long move and saw some good sign of bass finally but it was tough to get a bite on that, but it is starting to liven up a bit. Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We did do our weekly "Kids Fish Free Special." We had some nice kids on board. We ended up with 175 rockfish, 18 whitefish, 2 cabezon, 2 sculpin, 2 sand bass, 7 calico bass, 1 halibut, and 6 barracuda for our day. We did have pretty good rockfishing and pretty much did that till we were near limits and had dwindling participation. We closed out our day with some surface fishing. We had super good bottom fishing for most of our day, then we finished off the rest of our day fishing in the shallows for bass and barracuda. It was biting pretty good.
