Cody checked in for the Californian out of Ventura with their Full-Day wrap-up report. We had 27 anglers today. A fun day, but kind of tough fishing. We had to work for every single thing that we caught today, just to be honest. The entire day that never left us. We fished our butts off today. We spent the first part of our day bottom fishing and the last part of our day fishing some barracuda. Pretty good action on the barracuda, if you could get past the sea lions. Fun fishing nonetheless. Our 27 anglers ended up with 70 rockfish, 9 sculpin, 5 whitefish, and 32 barracuda. Cody has the latest fish report for you below.

We have several people signed up for Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, so each of those trips has a chance to get out with a light load. Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing with their 1/2-Day "Kids Fish Free Sunday." We had an almost full boat with 45 passengers and enjoyed some very nice fishing and some very nice weather. Our passengers caught 286 rockfish (which included limits of reds), 22 whitefish, a few lingcod, a few sculpin, and 5 barracuda. We spent the day bottom fishing, then went to check out the shallows real quick before our day was over.  We had a lot of happy kids and a lot of first-time fishermen, but plenty of fish to go around. Cody checked in for the Californian out of Ventura. We had a really fun day out here on the water. We had a bit of weather this morning and on the way in, but a good day nonetheless. We started off our day bottom fishing from 150ft - 240ft and had a decent pick on some quality rockfish, whitefish, lingcod, sculpin--all that type of stuff. Then we went inside, shallow fishing on the surface. We had good barracuda action with a really good sign of fish around in the time that we did it. We also caught a couple of halibut. Our 27 anglers caught 53 barracuda, 2 halibut, 87 rockfish, 16 whitefish, 2 sculpin, and 1 lingod. Cody has the latest fish report and tackle recommendations for you below.

The Endeavor 2024 Charter Schedule Is Open!

The Endeavor is a 60’ Seaway specializing in overnight and 2-day trips, out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing in Ventura, CA. There’s ample deck space all around with plenty of space at the rail. The Endeavor features a 150-scoop bait tank for the best live bait available, a refrigerated seawater fish hold, and the bunk room is air-conditioned and has 26 spacious, comfortably padded bunks.  The two heads feature running water at the stern deck and a spacious hot shower at the bow if needed. Our galley seats 20 passengers and is fully stocked and ready to serve hot meals, snacks, and cold beverages. The galley also includes a large flat-screen TV with Blu-ray player for entertainment!

Definitely grinding it out, but the guys stuck with it were rewarded with limits of rockfish and other odds and ends to go with it. Today we fished from 240-500 feet. Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. Beautiful weather 41 passengers. Great conditions all day. Everyone had a good time and caught a bunch of fish. Our final fish count for 41 passengers was 309 rockfish, 83 whitefish, 2 sheephead, 2 lingcod, and a sand dab. We were able to keep it shallow all day. We had limits of reds and lots of nice shallow-water rockfish.  Everyone is going home with nice big filet bags. Daniel has the latest fish report for you below.
