We had really good fishing today, we'll call in later with a final count. Nice quality reds, lingcod, bass, whitefish, a bunch of good stuff! Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We got out with 28 passengers and spent the first part of our day looking for seabass. We saw some fish and hooked and lost one unfortunately. Then we switched gears and went shallow water rockfishing the rest of the day. We had outstanding quality and a lot of lingcod. Our final fish count was 194 rockfish, 44 whitefish, 22 legal lingcod, a lot more shorts lingcod, and a few sculpin as well. Things are shapping up well out here. Fishing is good. We had beautiful weather, and spent the day fishing no deeper than 240 feet and finished the day at 150 feet of water. We kept it nice and shallow. Our fish count for today for 43 anglers was 139 rockfish, 98 whitefish, 6 sculpin, 1 sheephead, and 1 lingcod. Cody has the latest fish report for you below.
