Cody checked in for the Californian out of Ventura. We had a good day of fishing. Definitely grinding it out, but the guys stuck with it were rewarded with limits of rockfish and other odds and ends to go with it. Today we fished from 240-500 feet. A good, fun day out on the water. We ended the day with 260 rockfish (limits of vermilion in there), a couple sculpin, and 1 whitefish. Cody has the latest fish report for you below.

Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing with their 1/2-Day "Kids Fish Free Sunday." Unfortunately, the conditions were a little tough today. Our 19 anglers caught 88 rockfish, 26 whitefish, and a lincod. One of the tougher days we've had all year.  The water is warming up though, and the bass are starting to show up. Cody checked in for the Californian out of Ventura. We spent the day fishing rockfish and bottom critters--stuff like that fishing 270 feet or less all day. Everybody had a good time with the rockfish, whitefish, and sculpin to go with it. Our final count for our 30 anglers was 282 mixed rockfish, 19 whitefish, and 4 sculpin. Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. Beautiful weather 41 passengers. Great conditions all day. Everyone had a good time and caught a bunch of fish. Our final fish count for 41 passengers was 309 rockfish, 83 whitefish, 2 sheephead, 2 lingcod, and a sand dab. We were able to keep it shallow all day. We had limits of reds and lots of nice shallow-water rockfish.  Everyone is going home with nice big filet bags. Daniel has the latest fish report for you below.
