Daniel checking in from the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We're on our way in from our 1/2 day trip. We had 36 passengers today for "Kids Fish Free Sunday." We ended up with 287 rockfish, 78 whitefish, 11 sculpin, 2 sheephead, a cabazon, and a nice halibut to round out our day there. The fish was all nice quality. Kept it relatively shallow for the kids. It was a pretty rough start to the morning, but conditions mellowed out and they were able to catch some fish. Everybody had a good time and everybody is going home with fish.
